The Inmans are a close family group made up of five sisters, from a total of eleven children born to an old -fashioned minister, Rev. Robert L. Inman, and his wife Evelyn. Three of the sisters' husbands are a part of the group also.
Jane and Judy, one set of twins, out of three sets, are a part of the group. Jane sings most of the lead, writes most of our songs and plays the keyboard. Judy is the tenor singer in the family, sings some lead, and helps with the mail-outs. Kathy sings alto, sings some lead, writes some of the songs and is currently learning the mandolin. Wilma, who is a twin to our only brother, sings a sweet round bass and along with Kathy, works our product table. Brenda, who sings a second lead and some tenor, has not been able to sing with us for the past two years, due to illness. But, we believe she will be able to sing again. Jane's husband, Michael, manages the group and plays the bass guitar. Judy's husband, Darrell, plays the rhythm guitar and sings some lead. Kathy's husband, James, along with Michael and Darrell drives the bus and carries and sets up the equipment. Judy and Darrell are also the contact for booking The Inmans.
The girls grew up in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, singing at an early age, mostly in our home churches at revivals, funerals and weddings. We started traveling as an organized group in January 1995 and have been truly blessed the past fourteen years.
We have just finished our tenth project, "I Can Fly". Recording the songs that God has given us, we believe that each song is a specific message sent from God that someone needs to hear. We have had five songs released on United Independent Artist Label: "God Bless Our Soldiers", "Homecoming Day", "One More Pilgrim", "Still Standing On The Rock" and "Open The Door". Two songs from our most recent project, "I Can Fly" and "Walking In God's Sunshine", have been released on Regal Media Group Compilations #7 and #8. We are looking for great things through the spirit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
For now, The Inmans are weekend warriors for God, traveling anywhere He opens the door. We choose to minister with live music, which gives us more flexibility in worship. Our sole purpose is to win as many as we can to Christ and to uplift those who are discouraged. We believe the time is short!
God Bless You!
